Is Twilight hunk Robert Pattinson ready to be a dad? The actor, who plays a big brother in his current flick Remember Me, revealed that five years ago his family played an April Fool’s prank on him, saying, “I’ve always liked the idea of having a younger sibling. My family tricked me about five years ago that my mum was pregnant. I didn’t realize it was April Fool’s Day!” He adds of the news, “I spent the entire day saying I was gonna have a little brother and told all my friends it was the best thing in my entire life. I carried on for like three days believing it!”
The busy British actor also dishes on his own desire for children, adding, “After working on this movie, whenever I see a part now with a younger brother, or a part where I’ve got a kid… I just love the idea of that. I think I’m getting broody. It’s so bizarre.”
Pattinson has a busy year planned with the release of Remember Me, the third Twilight installment Eclipse in June, and is also filming a long list of films including the fourth Twilight film, Breaking Dawn.
Do you see a baby in Rob’s near future? Perhaps with rumoured love interest and Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart?

Legendary film maker Ron Howard is making a behind-the-scenes return to TV in NBC’s Parenthood, years after finding fame on The Andy Griffith Show and Happy Days. Married for 35 years, Ron and Cheryl Howard are proud parents to four children – daughters Bryce Dallas, 29, twins Jocelyn Carlyle and Paige Carlyle, 24, and son Reed Cross, 22 – and grandparents to 2 1/2-year-old grandson Theo. Ron opened up to Parade about how he has grown since becoming a father and the profound experience of being a grandparent.
On his personal growth since having children: “Humor is unavoidable. It might not feel funny in the moment, but more often than not there’s a light at the end of the tunnel and you can personally look back and find the laughs in being a parent. I felt pressure about being a father, more pressure than I would have ever imagined — trying to do it right, to be what I should be to my kids. At the same time, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I think I’ve probably learned more and grown more because I’m a father than for any other reason.”

It is always difficult to bounce back mentally and physically post-baby, but Academy Award nominated actress Vera Farmiga had a few additional challenges to overcome. The Up In The Air star began filming only two weeks after welcoming son Fynn last January. The role called for a feisty business woman with George Clooney as a leading man, and Farmiga, 36, dishes to USA Today the challenges that she faced working so soon after welcoming her son.
On her character in the film: “It was strange having to portray that frank sexuality when I did not feel sexy in the least bit. But that’s what I loved about her. I loved how daring she was. She makes sex, on screen, fun. She was curious and was gliding through life with grace and a sense of humor, and wit and self-possession and open-heartedness and femininity and sensuality and sexuality.”
