Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild and husband Jimi Westbrook announced on the band’s website yesterday that they are expecting their first child!
In the message to their fans the thrilled parents-to-be shared that they are “extremely delighted” and “looking forward to March when the little one is due.”
Their little bundle already has a couple close friends waiting in the wings: Bandmates Kimberly Schlapman and Phillip Sweets are parents to daughters Daisy Pearl, 2, and 21-month-old Penelopi Jane.
Karen and Jimi were married May 31, 2006 in Nashville.
Although my daughter loves to have her nails painted “Just like mama”, I have never been too keen on it. Most nail polishes and nail polish removers on the market are full of chemicals and fumes, something I don’t want to expose my daughter to – especially at this age.
Piggy Paint™ was created by Melanie Hurley, a mother who had the same concerns as myself. Once, while painting her daughter’s nails over a foam plate, she dropped a glob of the polish onto the foam surface and the solvent-based polish proceeded to bubble and “eat” through the plate!
Since then, Melanie has come up with non-toxic product which is especially created for little hands and feet. This water-based nail polish is formulated from natural ingredients and is completely free of formaldehyde, toluene, phthalates, biphenyl A, ethyl acetate and acetone.
Celebrity Baby Scoop is thrilled to welcome Gena Lee Nolin as a celebrity guest blogger. Best known for her time on the international smash hit Baywatch, Gena is returning after having three children with an entirely new image and outlook on life. She is set to host a new television series and is also working on a book which delves into her own experience of postpartum depression after all three of her pregnancies.
Gena’s first blog is a refreshing look at her busy life in Scottsdale, AZ with husband, NHL defensemen Cale Hulse, sons Spencer, 12, and Hudson, 3, and daughter, Stella Monroe, 10 months. The Nolin-Hulses are pictured above (including Cale’s 8-year-old daughter Caia).
Please leave questions for Gena’s next blog in the comments.
Hello fellow Moms & Dads,
This marks my first blog ever. I have to say I was thrilled with its familiar subject matter, after all I’ve been a mommy now for over 12 years! Becoming a parent for me brought an overwhelming amount of emotion that ranged from pure bliss, fatigue, frustration and a deep love that’s indescribable for those without children. I thoroughly enjoy being a mom and the day to day monotony it brings. It’s clearly not the beaches of Baywatch, but it has its magical moments!

New dad Josh Kelley took time off of daddy duty for a good cause this week, performing at a Denver fundraiser for the Global Down Syndrome Association.
The proud papa dedicated a song to his baby girl Naleigh, 11 months, who he and his wife Katherine Heigl recently adopted from Korea.
“I wrote a song for my new daughter. The song’s called Naleigh Moon. I’m going to play that tonight,” Josh told the audience of over a thousand.

Four-month-old Max Armstrong is at it again – this baby sure does spend a lot of time on Twitter!
These sweet pics of little Max with his dad Lance are the latest to be posted on the social networking site. What a cutie!
Lance is currently on his way home from France, where he recently lunched with President Nicolas Sarkozy: “Topics included cycling, cancer, politics, America, and our kids,” he tweeted earlier today. “Very much enjoyed it.”
