Bobbi Kristina To Follow In Mom Whitney Houston's Footsteps

It looks like Whitney Houston's daughter is planning on following her mother's and father's footsteps with her career choice.
The teenage daughter of music icon Whitney Houston and ex-husband Bobby Brown, was seated in the audience during the second part of the exclusive interview with Houston which aired Tuesday (September 14) on The Oprah Show. Bobbi Kristina spoke briefly to Oprah after her mother's musical performance.
When asked whether she was planning on pursuing a future in the music industry the 15-year-old replied, "Yeah. I know she hates it, but it's the plan. It's my plan. Mine. Yeah."
Her mother's success is also a source of pride to her daughter as she said, “Honestly, words can’t explain how proud I am of her, really."
After going through rough times with her mom, the two have now ended up with a strong relationship. “I’ve been there with her through everything and the whole divorce and talking and whatever, but you know, I stay by her side,” the teen said. “That’s like my best friend you know, that’s like my sister.”

Whitney's career comeback interview will be on The Oprah Winfrey Show as the talk-show queen launches her 24th season on September 14. According to her Web site, Oprah calls Houston's appearance "the most anticipated music interview of the decade."

Whitney Houston was spotted with her 16-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown at Newark Airport in Newark, New Jersey on Thursday (August 20). The 46-year-old I Will Always Love You singer and her daughter wore matching outfits and looked happy as they landed in the garden state.
After a long absence from the music industry, Whitney's much-hyped career comeback interview will be on The Oprah Winfrey Show. On the eve of her much-talked-about comeback, Whitney Houston says that her 15-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina - seen here with her mom earlier this month - deserves much of the credit for her new album.
"She was with me every step of the way: 'Mom, you can do this.' When I get discouraged and I get like, 'This is tiring, this is wearing me out, I'm just not at that point,' she'd just go, 'No, mom, you can do this, get up, get up,'" Whitney, 45, reveals. "She encourages me and inspires me, when I look at her and I look at her eyes and I see myself, I go, 'OK, I can do this. I can do this.'"

Dad is Whitney's ex husband Bobby Brown who just welcomed a baby boy, Cassius, with girlfriend/manager of two years, Alicia Ethridge. Cassius joins Bobbi Kristina as well as Brown's three other children from previous relationships: Landon, 23, LaPrincia, 19 and Bobby Jr, 18.
Whitney's first studio album in almost 7 years is set for release this fall.
