50 Cent: My Son Does Not Take After Me

Looks like the apple does sometimes fall far from the tree. Rapper 50 Cent – who details his past as a schoolyard bully in his new book, '50 Cent: Playground, The Mostly True Story of a Reformed Bully' – says son Marquise definitely doesn't take after his dad, especially when it comes to the musician's bad-boy image.

“My son is 15, and I have conversations with him about things like this. He isn’t being bullied, but he meets people who have expectations of him because of the aggressive energy that I have and the content of the material I create. They look at him like he’s supposed to be like that,” he says.

Playground is a semi-autobiographical novel that tells the story of a 13-year-old schoolyard bully "who finds redemption as he faces what he's done," the book's publisher says in a statement released to MTV. But what inspired the rapper-turned-actor-turned-writer to address the topic in this medium?
