Actress Nicole Sullivan got into the Christmas spirit with her family — husband Jason Packham and sons Dash, 4½, and Beckett, 2 — on Saturday (December 17) for Jayneoni Moore’s Third Annual Holiday Children’s Wrapping Party in Century City, Calif.
Mom-of-two Laila Ali also pitched in and wrapped gifts for kids in the Los Angeles foster care system, as well as residents of the Jenesse Center, Inc, L.A.’s oldest shelter for women and children escaping domestic violence situations.
Nicole opened up to Celebrity Baby Scoop about helping out for this great cause.
If you’ve ever watched a child opening gifts on Christmas morning, you know that look in their eyes is amazing,” Nicole said. “And to know that some foster kids don’t get to experience that during the holidays is heartbreaking. It makes it so easy to give up an afternoon to wrap gifts for them. Even if your two year old keeps opening the gifts you just wrapped. Giving back this time of year is just such a fun, positive choice.”
Laila Ali also talked about the importance of helping others less fortunate.
Growing up, I was always so excited about opening presents on Christmas,” Laila said. “Helping wrap presents for kids who celebrate the holidays but are less fortunate than I was is important to me because I feel that all kids should have that same excitement I did as a child.”
