David Beckham & Harper: “Daddy’s Girl”

Victoria and David Beckham were spotted with their 7-month-old daughter Harper Seven at Balthazar restaurant in New York City on Sunday (February 12). Looking dapper in a Tom Ford suit, the doting daddy carried his gorgeous girl swaddled in a cashmere smock dress from Bonpoint. And not to menion Vicki’s sleek black look, accompanied with a pair of signature Christian Louboutins.

The trio were celebrating the launch of Victoria’s Autumn/Winter 2012-13 collection at New York Fashion week. Every bit the proud hubby, David attended the show – seated in the front row next to Anna Wintour – and brought along their sweet daughter.

Victoria opened up to Grazia Daily about David’s support and bringing Harper “to work.”

Oh, she is such a daddy’s girl,” Victoria gushed. “Harper comes to work with me. Last season she was here when we launched Victoria, Victoria Beckham. But this is David’s first show. I think he has only just realized how hard I work. That it’s not just a hobby.”

Victoria’s collection includes a handbag named after her daughter. She also designed feminine, fitted shapes, finished with military detail and biker boots, which were partly influenced by her husband.

“It’s all about construction and quality,” she said. “The hardware and military influence is coming from the handbags. I am so excited about the new Harper bag. I am designing what I want myself. And I can’t wait to wear it.”

She said her boys also influence her designs.

My daily life is my inspiration,” she said. “I took the beanie hats from David’s wardrobe and there are some boyfriend jackets that are all him. And the baseball stripes and jersey cuffs came about when I was standing in kitchen and [my son] Romeo runs in wearing a baseball kit and I thought that’s it. It looks so cool.”

And what about the rumors that she’s designing gowns for the upcoming Academy Awards?

“I have a lot of gowns in the collection but edited them out for the catwalk show,” she said. “I’ve been lucky to have had lots of people ask me to make them things for the red carpet but I am having to say no. We are too small a team to be able to do that yet. I can’t afford to show them on the red carpet before I show them to the buyers.”

Posh and Becks are also parents to sons are also parents to sons Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, 9, and Cruz, 6.

  1. Oh my gosh, Harper is just too cute for words. Love the picture with her sticking out her tongue. Reminds me so much of my little boy who had the same quirk with 7 months. One thing I was really wondering about is why her parents let her wear such dull colours, grey, brown, even black. I mean she’s Posh Spice’s daughter, I honestly would have expected her to be dressed much more girly-like. On second thought, maybe D&G, Gucci and the like don’t produce children’s clothes in pink 😉

    • I think it is refreshing to see a little girl in girly clothes without the pink and glitter. Harper is always dressed in little dresses and cute girly accessories. But just not in pink….I love that style.
