Icelandic songstress Björk, 46, was spotted strolling through the streets of SoHo in New York City on Tuesday (March 6). The Army of Me singer – who is known for her eclectic fashion style and unique, soprano voice – walked hand-in-hand with her colorfully clad daughter Ísadóra, 9, as the pretty pair made there way down the street.
In a recent interview with New York Magazine, the quirky singer reveals that she was quite surprised that she ended up living in the city.
“I never thought I would ever move to such an urban city,” the Hollow singer expresses. “I could never live in Manhattan – I’m too Icelandic for that. But there are incredible schools here.”
“I get claustrophobic in urban situations,” she adds. “But at least here you have the option to relate to the sky.”
Björk and her partner Matthew Barney are parents to Ísadóra are currently reside in Brooklyn Heights, New York. Björk is also mom to her son Sindri Eldon Thórsson, 25, with former The Sugarcubes band mate Thór Eldon.
