Hilary Duff Adjusts To Motherhood

Hilary Duff may be an accomplished singer and actress but it seems the 24-year new mom is slowly adjusting to her most challenging (and rewarding) role yet – mama.

The Lizzie McGuire alum recently took to Twitter to discuss how her life has changed since the birth of her first child Luca one week ago.

“Luca fed! Mamma fed! Time to do it all again in 2 hours!” she tweeted on Monday. “Oh how life has changed! In such a wonderful way.”

In fact, it seems her entire household now revolves around keeping people fed. Auntie Haylie Duff popped by to make a kale salad and truffle deviled eggs but Hilary suspected an ulterior motive.

“I think it’s more about her getting time with Luca but I take it!” she jokes.

Then it was a few hours sleep before it was time to feed little Luca.

“4 am … Sleepy eyed,” she wrote Tuesday. “Feeding baby … whew this job is no joke!”

Luca is the first child for Hilary and her husband Mike Comrie. Congrats again to the happy couple.

  1. She is not an accomplished singer or actress. She was, for all of a year, a mediocre singer with a good sound tech crew and a mediocre actress with good film/tv crews. She hasn’t done anything notable in at least five years. The only reason she is in the media is because she got pregnant and now has a baby – big whoop, there are plenty of pregnant women and mothers working more than she is who don’t get celebrated, which is sad.

    • This is a celebrity baby website. It is the only thing the post about. They don’t post about regular people. If you don’t care, why are you even here?

      • If she was doing something worth celebrating – acting or singing, or a real job – then it would make sense. Please, name all the things she’s done in the past year, other than getting pregnant, that has contributed to her career and celebrity. Oh, that’s right, you can’t.

        • They post photos of that Punky Brewster girl all the time. What has she done since she was 7? Nothing, but so what, people relate to her and therefore are interested in her grown up life. It’s really harmless, can’t imagine why you need to judge whether someone is celebrity ENOUGH. Don’t like a particular photo? Just move on.

    • They don’t get celebrated HERE because this is “CELEBRITY” Baby Scoop. Really, I promise. Look at the top of your screen. See it there? Told ya.

    • She is not an accomplished singer or actress
True – it would be nice if they featured more true stars on this site, wouldn’t it? D-listers crave and need publicity and they get it from the paps and this site and go out of their way to get attention — think Twitter. Top tier A-listers don’t have to resort to such means to get exposure…

The only reason she is in the media is because she got pregnant and now has a baby –
Also true. Nothing wrong with featuring pregnant celebs and moms with tots – these people are relatable to the rest of us moms, but at least feature someone interesting who has lived a little more.

      • They feature anyone the photo agency photographs. Does it not occur to you that the reason they don’t feature more big stars is because they don’t get photographed as much? Obviously if the photos existed I’m sure this site would publish them. This site can’t control who the paps follow.

        • I think it’s the other way around, Sherlock — paps follow and photograph people whose pictures sell. For some reason, sites like this WANT Hillary Duff pictures. If the paps can’t sell their pictures, they wouldn’t be following certain celebs. Some big stars are better at avoiding the paps than others though.

          • You’re really not very smart. They pay for pictures of *everyone* they can get, from the super-famous to the marginally famous. If they didn’t buy the photos of the lesser celebs, they wouldn’t have enough to fill up the site. Do you think they’re all sitting on a trove of pictures of A-listers that they’ve just decided not to post for some reason?

  2. As much as I like Hilary Duff, I do hate how people who have never had a “real” job make such an issue out of the most trivial things. “Luca fed! Mamma fed! Time to do it all again in 2 hours!” For my mom at Hilary’s age it would have been, “Twins are fed, Momma’s fed, hubby’s fed, cat’s fed, tidy the house and keep an eye on my 2-yr-old twins as I complete my coursework and midwife training.”

      • Did you miss the title of this blog? It’s about CELEBRITIES. If you don’t want to read about rich people who live lives most of us could never even imagine, why are you reading anything here in the first place? No one is forcing you to read about these people, so stop complaining about it.
