The Sopranos star Drea de Matteo and her fiancé Shooter Jennings – son of the late country legend Waylon Jennings – were spotted taking their 4-year-old daughter Alabama and son Waylon – who recently turned one – to the Los Angeles Zoo in Los Angeles, Calif on Saturday (April 7).
The 40-year-old Joey actress held her infant son closely as they walked around the zoo and stopped briefly for a photo shoot in a novelty photo booth. Sweet Alabama looked adorable donning a brightly striped dress and a pair of lace-up sneakers as she held her mama’s hand as the family made their way around the zoo.
Shooter has recently released a new album titled Family Man which firmly embraces his father’s heritage and “the whole country thing.” The collection was inspired by Shooter’s own life as a family man, being a father and husband but it also took him very much back to his own father.
“Having kids and understanding myself, and understanding life, love and all the battles that go with that definitely has made me think about him,” he reveals to Rolling Stone. “It’s weird because my dad was such an awesome dad [and] I have a boy now, whose real name is Waylon. And I really wish that they had gotten to know him, but at the same time, it’s like, it’s been 10 years since my dad has been gone.”
