Just days after saying ‘I do,’ Cynthia Nixon and Christine Marinoni have stepped out for the first time as a married couple.
The pair – who tied the knot on Sunday – were spotted in New York City on Tuesday (May 27). The Sex and the City star, 46, and education activist, 45, skipped the honeymoon for family time with their curly-haired son Max, 15 months, and Cynthia’s 10-year-old son Charles.
Cynthia and her ex Danny Mozes are also parents to 16-year-old daughter Samantha.
Three years after getting engaged at a rally to support same-sex marriage in New York – which was not legal at the time – Cynthia and Christine were wed in an intimate ceremony last weekend.
On May 27, 2012, Cynthia Nixon and her girlfriend, Christine Marinoni, were legally married in the state of New York,” her rep tells PEOPLE. “Nixon wore a custom dress by Carolina Herrera.”
The actress (who shaved her head for her recent stage role as a cancer patient in the drama Wit) and Christine have been a couple since 2004. Christine gave birth to their son, Max, in February 2011.
