It’s safe to say that Hilary Duff is enjoying these early days of motherhood. Two months after she and her husband Mike Comrie welcomed their son Luca Cruz, the actress and author chats to E! about her happy little family.
“There’s really no words to describe it,” the new mom says of motherhood. “It’s the most incredible thing every day. It softens you so much. I feel like a big mushy ball.”
As for her recently retired husband, Hilary, 24, says that she and Luca both lucked out with him!
“He’s really incredible. He’s so hands-on, so thoughtful, so loving,” she gushes of her hubby. “He’s really a natural, it’s incredible. I got really lucky.”
Having a newborn in the house doesn’t leave much time for romance, but Hilary reveals that she and Mike try to make their marriage a priority, heading out for weekly date nights.
“It’s weird scheduling so much because we used to do things on a whim and now we have to schedule. But it’s good. It’s really important for your relationship.”
So do they have plans to make little Luca a big brother? Hilary says yes… but not yet!
“Obviously we want more kids but we want to really enjoy Luca. I’m young. I still want to work and I feel like I have a lot to do.”
