Bachelorette Contestant Kalon Calls Emily Maynard’s Daughter “Baggage”

If there’s one thing Bachelorette Emily Maynard won’t allow is any disrespect towards her 6-year-old daughter Ricki – even if that entails booting Bachelorette contestant Kalon McMahon out of the house for badmouthing her little girl.

“Over the last few days, Kalon had some words that were pretty insulting to Emily and insulting to the guys here for the right reasons,” contestant Chris told Arie after the 10 remaining contestants came together for a bit of boy’s talk after their group date in London. “Kalon was saying stuff I was shocked to hear. General stuff about Emily — that she has a lot of baggage.”

Realizing that someone should come forward with the information, single dad Doug pulled Emily aside during the cocktail party and let her know what Kalon had said.

“I want to go out there and rip his limbs off and beat him with them,” she fumed, “I will never as long as I live let anyone speak ill of Ricki or any other kids I may have or husband I may have. I want to go West Virginia, hood rat, backwoods on his ass. That’s how much I love my daughter.

When she confronted Kalon in front of the other guys, he wasn’t willing to apologize for his statement, which he argued was taken out of context.

Almost immediately, Emily threw him out.

“If you’d asked me about Ricki you’d see that she’s the furthest thing from baggage. Get the f–k out!” she sniped. “I’d love to hear you talk but not until I’m done. I got that line from you.”

  1. I’d have tossed Kalon and Doug, too, for being two-faced. Did he stand up for the kid to Kalon when he had the chance? No, he just used it to score points with the mom. They both need to go.

Of course, if your kid is your greatest priority, maybe you don’t try to find her a new dad by prostituting yourself on national TV. She will inevitably end up kissing several men during what is basically a four week shooting schedule. Not the greatest message we can teach our daughters.

  2. You are sooooo right anonymous9!I feel the same way. I think bringing children into this show is awful. She put her out there which is not a good thing!!!!!

  3. Some of actually want to be someone’s one and only. Get over Emily but not everyone is Sean, not everyone wants to raise another man’s child. Honestly, Sean Lowe showed more interest in Ricky than in Emily.
