Alanis Morissette: “I Actually Like The Paparazzi”

Now here’s something you don’t hear from the celebs of tinseltown everyday.

According to the New York Post, Canadian born singer Alanis Morissette is convinced the paparazzi serve a useful purpose in Hollywood as they “force transparency” on the celebrities they photograph.

“I actually like the paparazzi,” the Ironic singer reveals, who has been photographed on numerous occasions out and about with her 1-year-old son Ever and husband Mario Treadway. “They’re forcing transparency… What are we afraid of? Our relationships being dysfunctional?”

The mama-of-one – who is a self-proclaimed attached parent – recently opened up about her thoughts on breastfeeding.

“[Ever’s] particular style is that — wherever we are, if he sits down and looks at me, it’s time to snuggle, you know?” she says. “It’s peppered throughout the day, more and less, depending upon what he needs.”

“I know some children who have weaned naturally at two years, some kids wean naturally a couple of years later. I mean, it’s up to every child,” she adds.

  1. She seems like a hypocrite. One day she’s harping about attachment parenting and the joys of mommyhood, the next she’s admitting she suffered from Post Partum Depression and was overwhelmed and found it hard to bond. Hello..??!?! And as for saying the paparazzi “force transparency” that’s total BS she just counts on them to keep her name and face from being forgotten by the public or replaced by new talent. IMHO.

  2. I’ve always thought her photos look a bit staged, this might explain it… But i guess you never know, and the paparazzi always want to use the best shot, so i guess it’s not really for us to judge. haha
