Jessica Simpson’s Postpartum Weight Loss

Expectant mama Jessica Simpson covers the January/February 2013 issue of Weight Watchers magazine, showing off her 50-pound weight loss after the May 1 arrival of her first child, daughter Maxwell.

“I’m crazy about smoothies, so I bring fruit chopped up and ready to go. That way, I can sip the same smoothie all morning long between takes,” Jess said about the smoothie recipe. “If it thins out, I put it back in the blender with crushed ice for a few minutes.”

On Christmas Day, the blonde beauty confirmed her second pregnancy by sharing a picture of baby Maxwell with the words “Big Sis” written in the sand in front of her.

“This year is all about new beginnings for me,” Jessica said of the weight loss program. “I lost over 50 pounds on Weight Watchers and did not have to be perfect to do it. Being healthy has become a part of who I am — which is great timing, because I’m having another baby.”

But what about her endorsement deal with Weight Watchers?

“There have been no changes to our business agreement with Jessica,” a representative for Weight Watchers told “Jessica’s successful weight loss prior to becoming pregnant will be featured in Weight Watchers’ new ‘Expect Amazing’ advertising campaign, including a spot with her sharing the happy news.”

  1. That’s a great photo. Too bad she has never ACTUALLY looked like that since she gave birth. It’s misrepresentation and it really doesn’t speak well for Weight Watchers. Jessica Simpson looks great with how far she’s come. Why is that not good enough for them?
