Alec Baldwin and his pregnant wife Hilaria had a laugh in front of their New York City apartment on Monday (May 6).
While filming their comedy sketch – the 30 Rock actor stuffed a Governor Chris Christie sweatshirt inside of her top – exaggerating her baby bump. Alec’s 17-year-old daughter Ireland also was there to watch.
Even Rosie O’Donnell got to see the family in action. She tweeted: “Saw the very handsome Alec Baldwin and his beautiful daughter Ireland in the village today – I like it here !!”
Later that night Alec and Hilaria attended the Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
As for his play Orphans – unfortunately the play will close ahead of schedule on May 19.
Baldwin blogged on The Huffington Post – “Our Broadway production of Lyle Kessler’s Orphans will close on Sunday, May 19th, well in advance of its scheduled end-of-run on June 30th. I have not acted in a legit show on Broadway since A Streetcar Named Desire in 1992, having chosen the not-for-profit route on Broadway or regional for my last four shows. Broadway has changed in the past 21 years and I wanted take a moment to look at that.”
He also wrote: “Our show involved the firing of an actor. Those things do happen. I’ve been fired before and I can tell you it’s not pleasant. But the tabloid culture that dominates the media today, with its jettisoning of nearly all journalistic tenets, rushes to paint the most sensational and, at times, least fact-based presentation of a story. Whatever information that is the most damning/salacious/judgmental is posted as quickly as possible and replaced by the next “event” even more quickly.”
