To celebrate her daughter Josselyn‘s sixth birthday, Samantha Harris threw a tooth fairy-themed party at their Los Angeles home on September 15. Joined by husband Michael Hess and their 2-year-old daughter Hillary, the family-of-four enjoyed the backyard soiree with close friends and family.
“It was so perfect that Josselyn chose a tooth fairy theme – the one from Rise of the Guardians – since within the last two weeks she lost her first and second teeth,” Samantha tells Celebrity Baby Scoop. “She was so excited to show her friends, as the second tooth just fell out Friday after school.”
For the fun party, guests were treated to delicious treats and a refreshing swim in the pool.
“We had a 55′ long obstacle course bouncy house, then chocolate/vanilla cake, red velvet cupcakes and ice cream,” Samantha shares. “After digesting, everyone jumped in the pool to cool off on this 90F day and had a blast swimming, splashing and playing around. Jossie said she had SO much fun! And WE say, a party without tears is a success!”
Upon leaving the birthday bash, guests were gifted with some posh party favors.
“For gift bags, we had my favorite party favor — Mabel’s Labels with each child’s name on the labels and a personalized dog tag for their kindergarten backpacks — as well as a few bracelets, colorful pencils, lip gloss encased in what looks like a plastic gum wrapper and a little individual paint art project,” the mom-of-two shares.
“For after swimming, we gave each of the parents their own goody bag — an Itzy Ritzy wet bag for the wet swimsuits,” she adds.
And there were plenty of crafts for the budding artists at the party.
“Joss and I made an art project out of the table decorations,” Samantha continues. “We made centerpieces by printing out color photos of the tooth fairy and gluing them on with Modge Podge, which we then used again on top since it was a glitter version so the fairy could sparkle. Then Josselyn added some glitter glue squiggles and shiny ribbon to accent them. They sure did look homemade, but it was fun to do together.”
“Jossie said her very favorite part of the party was the swimming and her favorite gift was the necklace we gave to her by Posh Mommy that has her name on the front of a heart and ‘Mom, Dad & Hilly’ on the back,” the proud mom adds. “She wanted something she could wear to kindergarten every day that would make her feel like we were with her there.”
