“Kenzie’s nursery is truly my most favorite room in our house,” Beverley tells Celebrity Baby Scoop. “It is so calm, we always have music playing in there while we play. She absolutely loves to play with all her musical instruments in her room.”
The Guncles – who have also created posh nurseries for high-profile pals such as Tori Spelling and Kristina Guerrero – created a “tranquil” space in the actress’ LA-based home.
“I wanted something that was more neutral and calming,” Beverley shares. “I am not so much of a pink girl, but I love aqua so we went more for a tranquil nursery. I hunted Pinterest and came up with a theme from there.”
The Secret Life of the American Teenager star, 33, chose bedding and drapes from Carousel Designs, which was the perfect fit for everyone — including her husband Michael Cameron.
“Carousel Designs was just amazing,” she says. “They have so many great styles to choose from. If anything, trying to narrow down the choices was the tough part. I fell in love with the Taupe Suzani print and instantly started designing the room around that. I love that it is so tranquil and serene and I also wanted Michael to be comfortable in the room and not overwhelmed by pink.”
And she added some unique family heirlooms to Kenzie’s special space.
“One of the needlepoints was in my nursery, my great grandmother, Memo, made it for me,” Beverley shares. “I wanted something from our childhood in her room. My mom gave it to me at my shower and it reminded me that I knew Michael had a needlepoint as well, so I asked his mom if we could have it. When we opened it up, we were shocked. His needlepoint that his Aunt Annie made him for his nursery had the exact same characters. They actually looked like a set. It truly was perfect so I took them in and got them framed and they are my favorite part of Kenz’s nursery. A little something special from Michael and I’s childhood that we get to share with our precious little girl.”
As for her designer pals, Beverley says that Bill and Scout are truly talented.
“Bill and Scout are like my baby whisperers,” she says. “I had no idea where to start and what I needed and they totally came in and just took over and made sure we had everything we needed.”
The room was fully-equipped with posh items such as a 4moms mamaRoo baby seat, ceiling light from Oilo, dresser by Pottery Barn Kids, Pitter Patter Print, a fun height chart, charming toy box, a birth details pillow, and a “Kenzie” banner above the crib.
“I am a huge Etsy fan. I can’t get enough,” Beverley shares. “I love that it is simple and cute and is safe to hang over the crib.”
