Following in mom and dad’s famous footsteps!
In the film – which was directed and co-written by Falcone – McCarthy plays a tycoon who loses her fortune after being sent to prison for insider trading.
Her big comeback? Starting a brownie company with her former assistant – fellow celebrity mom Kristen Bell – that includes young girls selling their baked goods with a percentage going to their college savings.
The couple’s elder daughter Vivian plays McCarthy’s character when she was 7-years-old and returned to her orphanage. Meanwhile, Georgette stars as one of the young girls working at the brownie company.
“They kept asking and we said no for months and [then] my oldest said, ‘Am I not allowed to even try?'” McCarthy tells E! News. “She’s very smart and I said, ‘That’s good, you went right to it because I certainly can’t say you’re not allowed to try. So we spent the next month seeing really if she’d do it. She did great.”
As it turns out, Georgette wanted in on the fun as well.
“Once [Georgette] heard Vivian is in the movie, she was like, ‘I wanna be in the movie,'” Falcone added.
Is this the beginning of a movie career for the Falcone sisters?
“We said, ‘You can do it again right after college,'” McCarthy said.
Falcone added: “We’ll see what happens. I’m not going to discourage it but I’m also not going to encourage it.”
