Congratulations are in order for Meghan King Edmonds and Jim Edmonds.
The Real Housewives of Orange County star, 31, and her former baseball star husband, 45, are expecting their first child together – a girl – she announced via Instagram Monday.
“We’re expecting a perfect little bundle of sugar and spice and everything nice! Jimmy and I are over the moon! We are thrilled to bring our daughter into our perfectly imperfect blended family in time for the holidays!” she captioned the image.
This will be the first child for Meghan. Jim is already dad to four children: daughters Lauren and Hayley with his first wife Lee Ann Horton, and son Landon and daughter Sutton with his second wife Allison Jayne Raski.
“We went through IVF and fortunately we got pregnant the first time,” Meghan tells PEOPLE, adding she didn’t have fertility issues, but Jim had undergone a vasectomy and froze his sperm.
“It was just such a long process with the IVF, step by step by step with so much information,” she shared. “I was swollen and in pain and it hurt to even sit straight up. It was awful. And then the recovery from that was hard.”
