Congratulations are in order for Mel Gibson and Rosalind Ross.
The Braveheart star, 61, and his girlfriend, 26, welcomed their first child together and Gibson’s ninth total – son Lars Gerard Gibson – on Friday, January 20, PEOPLE reports.
The baby boy arrived in Los Angeles, Calif., weighing in at 5 lbs. 5 oz.
“They’re thrilled and Lars is adorable. Their family is all around them and Mel is over the moon. They’re home and everybody is healthy and happy!” a source tells the mag.
The new parents – who radiated the red carpet together at the 2017 Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 8 – have been dating for two years.
This is Ross’ first child.
The Academy Award-winner is already dad to eight other children: daughter Hannah and six sons — Edward, Christian, William, Louis, Milo and Thomas — from his 28-year marriage Robyn Moore; and daughter Lucia, 6, with ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.
Congratulations to the Ross-Gibson family!
