During a Tuesday appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Parenthood star Dax Shepard opened up about life with wife, Veronica Mars star Kristen Bell, and their daughters Lincoln, nearly 4, and Delta, 2.
Recently, the CHiPs star, 42, nearly broke his nose on his daughter’s bookshelf and “let a couple of mother–kers rip,” he confessed.
“One night, I’m in there, I sing them ‘Wheels on the Bus,’ everything’s good, they’re going to sleep,” he said. “I go to bend down to pick up the towel to put it under the door [to block light from entering], they have a bookshelf … wham, straight into the bridge of my nose. Almost blacked out.”
And that’s when Lincoln’s potty mouth began.
Shortly after that, when his elder daughter struggled to take her sweatshirt off, she screamed, “Oh f–k!” While the couple chose to ignore their daughter’s foul language, she said it again at a pool party.
“‘This pool is f–king warm,'” Dax recalled her saying.
Oddly enough, the high-profile parents were proud of her word choice.
“Side note, we were like, ‘She’s nailing the syntax.’ She knows that she’s using it as an adjective, an adverb,” he joked. “We were proud and she stopped saying it.”
