“Proud to have a pal in @savannahguthrie that lifts girls up! #PWP princesseswearpants.com,” the Today star, 35, captioned the image of her tots rocking matching donut PJs.
The Hager sisters were seen reading copies of Princesses Wear Pants, a children’s book written by her co-star Savannah Guthrie.
Guthrie and parent educator Alli Oppenheim have collaborated on the book, in which Princess Penelope Pineapple shows young girls what they do matters most, not how they look.
“Penelope Pineapple is a little girl who loves to sparkle. She loves glitter. I mean she’s a princess so she’s got the shoes the dresses the crowns. But she also likes to get things done, so a lot of times she’s also wearing her pants,” Guthrie tells NBC News. “So this is for all those moms who have daughters who want to be princesses and really just want to wear dresses all the time.”
