“It’s very exciting and I’m looking forward to it,” Chelsea told the Daily Mail.
“I really don’t care if I have a boy or a girl, I’m just hoping for a healthy baby. Nick would really like a boy,” said the mom-to-be. “But as far as I am concerned, so long as it’s healthy, that’s what matters.”
Chelsea said that her famous mother will not a part of her child’s life.
“Rosie will not be in my child’s life,” she said, adding, “and no, I do not feel sad about that to be honest.”
Chelsea and Rosie have had a rocky relationship for years.
At 17, Chelsea left home and was missing for several hours before police found her with her 25-year-old boyfriend, an alleged drug addict. After being located, Chelsea lived with his family in New Jersey.
In the tell-all, Chelsea revealed that her famous mother regularly “smokes weed,” is a “phony” who is only nice in public, and hired nannies to raise her before sending her off to boarding school at age 13.
Chelsea also stated that her mother is “obsessed” with blasting Madonna, watching documentaries, and rarely engaged with her or her siblings. As well, Chelsea denies being “mentally ill” as her mother had publicly stated.
In August 2016, the pair had reunited with a selfie on social media. But the mother-daughter duo are once again estranged.
In 2016, Chelsea met Nick at a Dunkin Donuts, and they tied the knot three months later.
“The last time we got into an argument, we ended up screaming at each other and I left the room,” Chelsea told Inside Edition. “Growing up, I never really got along with her and then once she kicked me out, I was just kind of done.”
News of Chelsea’s pregnancy comes one week after Rosie’s ex-wife, Michelle Rounds, died of apparent suicide.
