An expectant Kate Middleton and Prince William met Paddington Bear on Monday (October 16) at the cuddly character’s namesake train station in London, England.
Joined by Prince Harry, 33, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, both 35, also attended a special party for children.
During her surprise appearance, Kate was pretty in a pink Orla Kiely dress.
In September, the royal couple announced their third pregnancy.
The expectant mama was not expected to attend the event and has stayed away from the spotlight since news of her pregnancy. The Duchess is battling acute morning sickness, also known as Hyperemesis Gravidarum.
A Kensington Palace spokeswoman had said that the Duchess is “better but she’s still suffering.”
The newborn will join the royal couple’s older children — 4-year-old son Prince George and 2-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte.
“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child,” read the pregnancy announcement.
“The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.”
“As with her previous two pregnancies, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Her Royal Highness will no longer carry out her planned engagement at the Hornsey Road Children’s Centre in London today,” the statement said.
“The Duchess is being cared for at Kensington Palace.”
