TV personality & style blogger, Diana Madison, and husband Raymond Attipa are ready to welcome their second child — a boy — in mid-December. The Lowdown host, 35, recently celebrated her son on-the-way with a Dior-inspired baby shower, and she shares exclusive details with Celebrity Baby Scoop.
The founder of Obsev Studios celebrated with some of her closest friends and family at The Mondrian Hotel in West Hollywood, Calif. Joined by 2-year-old daughter Collette and a few high-profile moms such as Kendra On Top‘s Jessica Hall, guests were treated to a luncheon at the Ivory on Sunset restaurant.
The chic blue-motif decor featured florals by Petals LA amid the starry night themed settings designed by Love It Events.
“Saco Sarkissian from Petals LA brought the party to life with the most beautiful flowers,” Diana tells Celebrity Baby Scoop exclusively. “He helped me pick out the cake designed by Special Cakes by Reuben. We did the whole constellation theme with stars and horoscope signs displayed all over the cake, donuts and cake pops that looked like popsicles.”
Guests noshed on delicious dishes such as lobster rolls, ahi tuna, salmon, burrata salad, vegetable flatbreads, topped off with a lavish custom cake and hand painted frosted donuts and cake pops.
The baby shower was inspired by ‘Dior Constellations‘ – 70th Anniversary of Dior Fêted at Galeries Lafayette in Paris. Hosted by Lisa Shahinian from Love It Events, decor included hot air balloons that were recreated for each table.
Diana was aiming for an intimate gathering to help celebrate her son on-the-way.
“I really wanted it to be small, where I could have my closest family and friends attend and celebrate this big milestone in my life,” Diana shares. “Being Armenian, we like to go big with everything so for me an intimate party was 35 of my closest friends and family. The venue, Ivory restaurant, was perfect to celebrate the arrival of my baby boy, due to the blue décor the restaurant has.”
And of course, the mom-to-be stole the show at the afternoon soirée.
“For the event, I decided to do something fun and crazy with my hair and makeup,” Diana says. “I had Carly Walters put on a faux bang on my hair. I have been so overwhelmed with my emotions being pregnant and was tired of rocking the same hairstyle. I felt like I needed a change and we decided to do fun bangs. For my makeup, I did bold lips with lip eyeshadows.”
The expectant mama looked beautiful in a blue maternity dress by Elizabeth and James.
“For my outfit, I wore this beautiful Elizabeth and James short dress that matched my daughter Collette’s Dolce and Gabbana dress,” she shares. “I opted to wear heels because I just love the way I feel wearing heels.”
