Christmas came a couple of days early for hotel heiress Nicky Hilton Rothschild, 34, and husband James Rothschild, 32. The couple welcomed a baby girl on December 20th, Teddy Marilyn Rothschild.
The socialite tweeted on Friday to share the joyous news “Christmas came early! On December 20th James and I welcomed a baby girl, Teddy Rothschild, into the world. Feeling very blessed this holiday season.”
The newborn’s name is in honor of Nicky’s paternal grandmother, Marilyn June Hawley. Marilyn was the wife of Nicky’s grandfather Baron Hilton who passed away in 2004.
The couple chose to not find out the gender of their child, they wanted it to be a surprise. When asked what she was hoping to have “You know what? I would be happy with either but I love having a sister. With a sister, you have a best friend for life. But a boy would be really cute, too. I’m thrilled with whatever.”
Teddy will join the rapidly growing family, older sister Lily-Grace was born just 17 months ago. The mother bought her eldest a baby doll to better help her understand that she would be getting a sibling. “It’s her baby and goes everywhere with her. She feeds her baby a bottle.”
Hilton married British banker James Rothschild on July 10, 2015, at Kensington Palace in London, England. Their oldest daughter Lily-Grace was born almost to the year on July 8, 2016.
The fashion designer was often seen during her pregnancy running errands around New York City impeccably dressed. Not allowing her growing belly to get in the way, she always kept her style understated and chic, mostly wearing jeans paired with blazers or a knit cardigan and a kitten heel or bootie.
It looks like Auntie Paris couldn’t wait to meet the newest family member. Big sister Paris, 36, was spotted at LAX airport with beau Chris Zylka, 32, heading to the Big Apple to meet her new niece.
