It is considered the happiest place on earth, Disneyland! And to get the honor of experiencing it through the eyes of a child, well life doesn’t get much better than that.
The Critics Choice Best Actress nominee, Sutton Foster, 42, took a break from the grind and spent the day at Disneyland with her daughter Emily and husband Ted Griffin, 47. It was Emily’s first visit to the park and it looks like she made some new friends along the way.
Sutton Foster took to her social media and shared the memories in the making on her Instagram. The actress captioned the picture, ‘Very excited to meet the mouse!’ Emily met ‘the mouse’ with open arms with the help of her Father holding her up. Disneyland can bring out the kid in even adults and it looked like it rubbed off on Sutton and Ted, they seemed to be enjoying themselves as much as Emily.
In another post, you can see Emily got her first set of ears with her name embroidered on the back! Ted is holding the toddler and the two are standing in front of Cinderellas castle. Sutton thanked Disneyland in the post, ‘Emily’s first time at Disneyland. Thank you for the most perfect day!’
The ‘Younger’ star recalled her life as a new mom in an interview. Sutton and her husband Ted welcomed Emily via adoption in April 2017. She says of becoming a mother to Emily, ‘Our lives are forever changed, and our hearts are exploding.’
Foster adds, ‘This is the first grandchild on both of our sides, so she’s like the golden child. So we are learning as we’re going. But we have a lot of help and amazing friends…it’s a massive learning curve, but she teaches you a lot.’
The actress took a night off from mom duty and attended the Critics Choice Awards where she was nominated for Best Actress in a Comedy series for her show Younger. Sutton posted a pic of her Younger family representing from the awards show Thursday evening.
