The 37-years old published the news on her website, Kim Kardashian titled the release “She’s here, we’re so in love." She went on to reveal a few details adding, “January 15th, 2018. 12:47am. 7lbs 6oz."
Finally ending with, “Kayne and I are happy to announce the arrival of our healthy, beautiful baby girl. We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care. North and Saint are especially thrilled to welcome their baby sister."
According to a source Kim and Kayne, 40, were both in the delivery room at the time of their daughter’s birth. Kim was the first person to hold the newborn and their surrogate was allowed some contact with the baby after the birth.
Momager Kris Jenner was at the hospital along with Kim’s older sister Kourtney and younger sister Khloe for the arrival.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Decided on a Surrogate
The Grammy winner and his wife decided to use a surrogate to carry their new addition because Kim suffers from a serious pregnancy condition called placenta accreta. Kim had two high risk and difficult pregnancies when carrying her daughter North, 4, and son Saint, 2 and feared her body wouldn’t be able to handle another pregnancy.
Kim celebrated the anticipated arrival of her baby girl back in November with a cherry blossom themed baby shower. She made the judgment call to not include her surrogate in the festivities because of her kids, “Of course, I would’ve wanted her to be there and be a part of it, but I hadn’t really gone that far in explaining it to my kids yet."
A new baby girl for the West family rings sweet. This news seems pleasant coming off the end of a tough two years for the famous family. Kim ended 2016 with a harrowing event when she was held at gunpoint and robbed in her hotel room in Paris, France. The Yeezy designer, shortly after, had a mental breakdown and was hospitalized.
Kim and Kanye have yet to release the name of their daughter but we have no doubt it will be an unusual one.
