Enrique Iglesias, 42, and Anna Kournikova, 36, welcomed a twin boy and girl last month but it was a complete shock to their fans, nobody knew Anna was even expecting.
Confirming that they are in fact new parents the couple finally gave us a dose of their little cutie’s which they released on their Instagram pages.
Both posts were captioned the same, “My Sunshine.” The Latin singer’s picture showed the dad cozied up to his newborn both wearing matching gray hoodie’s over their heads. Enrique didn’t specify if it was his daughter Lucy or son Nicholas but our guess it was his little girl from the pink pattern heart blanket the sleeping beauty is napping on.
The tennis player shared a precious smooch with who we suspect is Nicholas in the picture. Anna is holding the newborn while giving the baby a kiss on the cheek. The infant is wearing a gray onesie with polka dot socks while Anna hair is back in a ponytail and is wearing a simple black tank that shows off her toned arms. The mother of two looks happy and radiant.
This is the first acknowledgment of any sort from the uber private couple that they welcomed the twins last month. Enrique’s mother Isabel made a statement in December about her son’s two new arrivals saying, “Enrique is extraordinarily happy in these moments.”
Lucy and Nicholas are the couple’s first children. The pair has been together for 15 plus years and had never married. Rumors swirled last year that the two finally had tied the knot but Enrique shot the rumor down when in an interview he said they had no plans on getting married in the near future.
The Moscow-born athlete looks like she’s settling into motherhood quite nicely. And her longtime partner could see back in the earlier stages of their relationship that becoming a mother would suit Anna nicely.
In an interview from 2007 Enrique was candid about Anna becoming a mother someday, “I think she’d be the perfect mother, and I say regardless of whether I’d be with her or not.”
Thank you to the new parents for sharing your two new rays of sunshine!
