Lin-Manuel Miranda, the 38-year-old Tony Award winner and his 35-year-old wife Vanessa Nadal welcomed their second child on Friday, a son named Francisco.
The Hamilton creator went to Twitter to announce the joyous news and used a screenplay format to announce Francisco’s arrival.

Miranda attached a photo of his wife, Vanessa, holding their newborn son who was swaddled in a Baby Tula “Splatter Jet” baby blanket.
The couple already has a 3-year-old son Sebastion. Miranda had reported that Sebastion was eager to become a big brother and was starting to lose his cool. “Once, mid-tantrum, he cried, ‘When is Mommy gonna HAAAATCH…..”
Nadal debuted her bump when she attended the London Evening Standard Theatre Awards with Miranda back in December. A fan went to Twitter asking the music composer if Vanessa was pregnant. He replied nonchalant, “Oh hell yeah.”
He later went on to post a picture from the London event on his Facebook page captioning the photo, “Sebastian’s gonna be a big bruddah!”
Lin-Manuel and Vanessa met when they attended Hunter College High School in Manhattan. The two walked down the aisle in 2010.
Earlier on Friday Miranda posted a picture of his beautiful wife on Twitter, sitting on the couch wearing a silk robe, with her hand on her bump petting their dog. He wrote besides the photo, “-William Shakespeare, Sonnet 17.”
Lin-Manuel had said when he met his now wife, “She was gorgeous and I’m famously bad at talking to women I find attractive. I have a total lack of game…I was so shy I asked a friend of mine to get her phone number.”
Congrats on the arrival of your second act. And, scene!
