Hoda Kotb recently headed out to Pyeongchang, South Korea to cover the Winter Olympic Games and she had a little helper to assist her during packing for her big trip.
The Today Show co-host shared a video on her social media of her daughter Haley Joy helping her mama pack. It looks like from the video Haley needs to brush up on her folding skills, but we will cut the tot a break, she’s not even one yet.
In the video, the bushy, dark-haired tot is seen helping her mother packing her sweaters and putting none other than the US Ski Team beanie in her luggage.
The 53-year-old’s recent promotion to co-anchor of the morning show is bittersweet. With more travel and a heavier workload saying goodbye to her little one pulls at Hoda’s heartstrings.
The new mother posted a Winnie the Pooh quote onto her Instagram on Friday which she captioned, “Happy Friday xoxo.” The quote read, “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye hard.”
In a recent interview, Kotb revealed her whirlwind into motherhood via adoption and the moment she knew her life was about to change forever. She recalled looking down at her phone and reading a text that said, “Call me.”
She went on to describe, “I stopped for a minute. I looked at the clock and I wrote down 11:54 a.m. I knew that was the minute it was changing. I just felt it. And I dialed the number, and a woman from the adoption agency answered the phone and she said, ‘She’s here.’”
And she goes on to disclose, “I would take my worst day, the day everything’s falling apart since Haley, over my favorite day before. She changed everything.”
But Hoda isn’t alone in her journey through parenthood. The morning anchor is co-parenting Haley with her longtime partner 59-year-old Joel Schiffman. And, not to worry, Haley Joy will get to watch her mama on T.V. from at home. Joel is on Dad duty while Hoda is off covering the Winter Games.
