Jenelle Evans, 26, went on record and admitted to testing positive for Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) after delivering her daughter Ensley last year.
The Teen Mom 2 star spoke to Vince Russo’s The Brand podcast last week and came clean to listeners that she tested positive for the composite that is found in cannabis.
“I’m not going to lie about that. I tested positive for THC and Ensley did not test positive. I did,” Janelle revealed. So CPS were like-I was in the hospital-they said, ‘Did you smoke when you were pregnant?’ I said, ‘I did within the past 30 days. I said I have really bad esophageal spasms and I throw up every 5 minutes, I can’t even eat.’ And they said, ‘Okay some moms do that. We are not here to judge, we are writing down your information.’”
Evans went on to explain, “And after I had Ensley they said Child Protective Services will just come by to do a wellness check since you tested positive. They came and did a wellness checkup and everything is fine. They closed the case.”
Jenelle Evans who is also a mother to sons Jace, 8, and Kaiser, 3 is all too familiar with CPS wellness checks. The Teen Mom 2 star admits that the agency has been out to her house numerous times, “CPS has been to my house, like, 30 times, not just for that, but for haters online saying that I abuse my kids, so they came and checked up on that.”
The mom of three has been candid about her past with drugs, specifically her brush with death when she overdosed on heroin in 2012 and almost died. “I was afraid to speak out and tell people I was on drugs. People were accusing me of it, but I thought, ‘Oh, they don’t know me. I have to figure it out.’ I was in denial.”
Evans made one thing clear during her podcast interview, her life is drastically different from her drug-using days, “First of all, if I were on drugs I wouldn’t be able to sit here in the morning and get the kids ready and eat healthily,” she pointed out.
