Royal Baby News – Princess Madeleine Gives Birth to Child Number Three
Princess Madeleine of Sweden gave birth to her third child, a baby girl on Friday, March 10. The Princess and her husband Chris O’Neill, an American British financier, have two other children, Princess Leonore (4) and Prince Nicolas (2).
The family lives in London due to Chris’ work obligations but the Princess flew to Sweden to have the baby at the Danderyd Hospital in greater Stockholm.
The Princess first revealed she was expecting Royal Baby number three back in August on her Facebook page, saying the family of four “were looking forward to becoming 5.”
The couple has always indicated that they want a large family. Back in July 2016, Princes Madeleine said “We want to have more children. One or two more in the future. Absolutely.”
The pair first met when she was working New York for her mother’s charity, The World Childhood Foundation, in the US office. The princess had moved to New York permanently in September 2010. The two met through mutual friends and they have said that their romance began as a friendship, and blossomed into something more, that “grew slowly, and slowly” according to Chris.
Chris claims that he did not know she was a princess from Sweden when they first met!
Princess Madeleine is friends with actress Malin Ackerman, a fellow Swede. The two were photographed together on October 2, 2017, at an event benefitting the World Childhood Foundation in New York City.
Malin has said “Princess Madeleine is absolutely lovely and is just, I hate to say, a regular girl, but she’s a regular girl who is wonderful and a little bit more poised than most of us. She’s great. A really cool girl.”
The new baby girl, whose name has not yet been released, weighed 7.6 pounds and measured 19.7 inches at birth.
Update 03/12/18 – The baby girl’s name is Adrienne Josephine Alice
Congratulations to this Royal Family, five members strong! Now the world awaits the arrival of the British Royal Birth of Kate’s baby number 3!
