The palace tweeted Monday morning, “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101 hrs. The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well. The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news.”
Details have emerged that Kate, 36, was taken by a car before 6 am this morning at St Mary’s Hospital located in Paddington, London. Kate was omitted to the private Lindo Wing where she gave birth and will remain until being discharged.
It appears the birth went without any complications. Kate’s first birth to George was a total of 10-and-a-half hours once being admitted, and Charlotte was in two-and-a-half hours.
The palace tradition is to officially announce any Royal Baby by placing an easel in the forecourt of Buckingham Palace. The tradition dates back to 1837 as long as Buckingham Palace has been the official residence. The easel will remain for only 24 hours after which the notice will be sent to the Privy Council Office to be kept on record.
The bulletin has been placed outside Buckingham Palace formally announcing the birth of the The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s new son. The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs. The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.
Commoners have been camped outside of the Lindo Wing patiently awaiting Kate and William’s third child. The baby boy will share his birthday with William Shakespeare and Lady Gabriella Windsor.
The self-proclaimed Royalist Town Crier announced the arrival on the front steps of the Lindo Wing, exclaiming, ‘God Save the Queen.’ The crowd burst into cheers and celebration upon hearing the news.
Predictions are already being made on what the fifth in line to the thrown moniker will be. Top three predictions are Arthur, James, and Albert.
The wait is finally over! Now we wait and see what the newest royal will be named…
