Prince William and Duchess Kate Introduce Their New Little Prince to the World
The Duchess of Cambridge and the newest member of the Royal Family emerged from the doors of the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital just hours after Kate, 36, gave birth. By their side was Prince William, 35. The Royal Couple graciously stood at the stairs of the hospital, debuting their new prince.
Kate and William gleamed with delight and the two looked adoringly at their newborn son. Wrapped in a white crochet blanket and matching bonnet the world was able to get a first glimpse of the prince who slept peacefully through his first public appearance. You could see the Prince’s wrinkly little fingers peeking out from his blanket.
Kate looked ravishing in red. Her Royal Highness wore a Jenny Packham custom red dress with a knit collar detail. The designer is a favorite of Kate’s who wore the designer’s creations when she introduced her son George and daughter Charlotte for their first introduction to the world.
Kate wore a nude pump and simple makeup and hair while pairing a simple pearl drop earring to complete the look. It’s astonishing how radiant the Duchess looked just hours after giving birth.
Kate’s choice to wear red rang reminiscent of when Princess Diana walked out of the hospital with Prince Harry for his first introduction.

Kate embodied her deceased mother in law by wearing the same tone of red with a similar white contrast at the collar. Even the blanket that Prince Harry was wrapped in mirrors the blanket that her son is snuggled tightly in. Kate often channels Diana in her fashion choices, Kate clearly has a love for fashion as did the late Princess Diana.
So What’s the Royal Baby’s Name Going to Be?
William chatted briefly with the crowd and answered coyly when asked what moniker the couple had chosen for their third child, “You’ll find out soon!” He also joked that he and Kate would have “Thrice to worry now!”
After moments of standing outside Kate whispered to Prince William saying that she was worried about the baby getting cold before heading back indoors.
Kensington Palace revealed the fifth in line for the throne was born at 11:01 AM on April 23, five hours after Kate arrived at the hospital to give birth.
