Tia Mowry Gives Birth to a Baby Girl: ‘We Are in Heaven’
She’s finally here! Tia Mowry gave birth to her second child, her first daughter on May 5th.
Tia Mowry, 39, made the exciting announcement on her Instagram with a touching photo of the new mama cradling her baby girl in a hospital bed. The Sister Sister alum looks captivated by her new bundle of joy, staring lovingly at her newborn.
Tia wrote alongside the post, “Feeling grateful and blessed as we welcome our little baby girl into the world. Born May 5th at 10:29 am at 6 pounds and 4 Oz 19.8 inches. We are in heaven."
Tia’s new baby girl will join her big brother Cree, 6, who she also shares with husband Cory Hardrict, 38.
The new father went to his social media on the big day sharing with his fans that his wife was in labor. Cory was emotional about the impending birth, sharing a picture of himself dressed in scrubs with tears running down his face. Hardict wrote a heartfelt message, “Grown man Tears. Baby girl is near Prayers Up."
The new mama lived her second pregnancy to the fullest, constantly updating the social media following of her growing bump.
Mowry’s love for fashion wasn’t sacrificed either during the 9 months, the mama embraced dressing her bump and used the journey has a creative outlet through her clothing. She always looked put together and showed other pregnant women out there that instead of hiding their bumps embrace it and show it off proudly.
The actress first made the announcement she was adding to her tribe back in November on Instagram. She shared a sweet pic of her son Cree kissing her belly with her hubby by her side.
But there was a time that the Tia Mowry’s Quick Fix star wasn’t sure she would be able to give her son a sibling. Tia battled with infertility and spoke openly about how she suffers from endometriosis, a disease when the tissue grows outside the tissue and can cause infertility.
But Mowry always kept the faith and hope that she would carry another child someday. She spoke to Us Weekly in August 2017 and said “I definitely want Cree to either have a brother or sister. It’s all about timing and if it’s God’s will." Now Cree has a “Sister Sister” of his very own!
Congrats on your new bundle of joy!
