Olympian Bode Miller’s 19-Month Old Daughter Dies After a Pool Accident

“Her Love, Her Light, Her Spirit Will Never Be Forgotten

Bode Miller and his family are grieving over the tragic death of his youngest child, 19-month-old daughter Emeline Grier Miller.

Emeline Miller passed away at an Orange County hospital on Sunday. The day before paramedics were called to a home in an upscale neighborhood of Coto de Caza shortly before 6:30pm.

Captain Tony Bommarito of the Orange County Fire Department recalled the tragedy, “They tried to resuscitate the girl and rushed her to an emergency room. They had no pulses the whole way. It didn’t end well.”

Miller shared the painful news on his Instagram sharing a picture of his departed little girl writing, “We are beyond devastated. Our baby girl, Emmy, passed away yesterday. Never in a million years did we think we would experience a pain like this.”

“Her love, her light, her spirit will never be forgotten. Our little girl loved life and lived it to it’s fullest every day. Our family respectfully requests privacy during this painful time,” Miller, 40 wrote.

The six-time Olympic medalist is married to professional volleyball player Morgan Beck Miller, 31. The couple also shares a son together, Nash Skan, 3, while Bode is a father to his two older children son Samuel, 5, and daughter Neesyn, 10, from previous relationships.

Bode Miller and Morgan who wed in 2012, shared exciting news over the Easter holiday weekend that they would be adding another member to their team. In a joint statement, they revealed writing, “Happy Easter from our growing Miller Family. Baby Miller Coming October 2018.”

In May the pregnant mama shared a picture of her growing belly while having an ultrasound done with her girl Emeline by her side, “Checking out baby with my other baby,” Morgan captioned the post. Morgan was kissing her daughter in the snap.
