Chip and Joanna Gaines of Fixer Upper just had their fifth child together, which is a son. People shared the details about their new baby. The couple made the announcement that their son had arrived by going to Twitter and posting about his birth.
Chip posted saying, “And then there were 5.. The Gaines crew is now 1 stronger! 10 beautiful toes and 10 beautiful fingers all accounted for, and big momma is doing great! #blessedBeyondBelief.” The fans already knew that it was going to be a little boy. Their son joins their four other children Emmie Kay, 8, Duke, 9, Ella, 11, and Drake, 13. They announced the big pregnancy back in January and the fans were surprised that another baby was on the way for the reality television couple.
They made it clear that they wanted a D name for their son to match the other boys. So far, Chip and Joanna Gaines haven’t revealed what name they picked out for their little boy. This might not even be the last child that they add to their family. Joanna shared about their plans.
“I joke with my friends that I’m going to be that 45-year-old who’s pregnant. Chip is such a kid at heart and we both love a big family. I’m open to whatever. I’m just having fun with it.”
It has been a while since they had a newborn at home, but hopefully, they can get used to doing it all over again. Chip and Joanna should fall right back into their habits of taking care of a baby like they did the four other times. Joanna shared that she knows there will be a lot of new products that were not around when her other kids were born.
Joanna already celebrated a big baby shower for their new son. It was book themed. Her friends threw the party for her knowing that Joanna Gaines loves books so this was the perfect theme for her. This happened earlier this month so Joanna probably got all of those new baby items she doesn’t know anything about just in time for the baby to get here.
Even though Chip and Joanna Gaines aren’t doing Fixer Upper anymore that doesn’t mean that they aren’t in the public eye. They made it sound at first like they wouldn’t be on television at all, but they are actually doing a spin-off show called Fixer Upper: Behind the Design which airs on HGTV. It would be surprising if they were ever not on television.
