Brigitte Nielsen has defied all odds. The former Playmate gave birth to her fifth child, with husband Mattia Dessi.
It is reported that the Surreal Life alum and her husband, 39, welcomed their daughter, Frida, in Los Angeles on Friday, June 22nd.
At the time of the birth Nielsen’s little girl weighed in at 5lbs. 9oz. The new mother told People exclusively, “We are overjoyed to welcome our beautiful daughter into our lives. It’s been a long road, and so worth it. We’ve never been more in love."
This is the actress’s first girl. The Red Sonja star is already a mom to her four sons: Raoul Meyer Jr. 23, Douglas Meyer, 25, Killian Gastineau, 28, and Julian Winding, 34.
Nielsen first revealed that she was expecting in May via Twitter showing off her bump that looked pretty far along. Wearing a tight fitted gray dress she wrote, “Family getting larger #me #family #brigittenielsen #babybump."
Brigitte Nielson and Dessi married in 2006. Nielson who has been married five times started dating the Italian model after she split from Flavor Flav. The Beverly Hills Cop II actress had admitted in 2011 that she would love to have one more child but didn’t know if it was in the cards.
“I would love to because of all the things I have learned. It would be like starting all over again. But am I too old? I’m young at heart and I would be different this time around," she told The Guardian. “Mattia and I have discussed it, but I don’t know how likely it is. And to interfere with things just because I feel as if I could give more to a child than I did when I was 20 — is that too selfish? I don’t know."
Earlier in the week, Nielson posted a pic of she and her hubby on her Instagram. In the shot, Mattia is touching her belly. She gushed writing, “you’ll be a great papa."
Congrats on your new addition!
