The actress may have had influence from Princess Tiana from the Disney’s 2009 film The Princess and the Frog. Tia explained the inspiration behind her daughter’s middle name, “Tiahna actually means ‘follower of Christ.’ Also, Tiana was one of the first African princesses, so she is our little princess here!"
“The Rock” welcomed his third daughter in April, TianaGia. Tiana has gained popularity in recent years and partly thanks to the New Orleans set musical animated film. Johnson, 46, has lent his voice to the Disney family in the past. He was the voice for Maui in the 2016 hit Moana.
And his youngest daughter isn’t the only one named after one of our beloved Disney Characters. His 2 ½-year-old daughter is named Jasmine Lia. Jasmine has become a popular name ever since the 1992 animatedfilm release of Aladdin.
Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen
Rachel, 36, and her former partner Hayden Christensen, 37, welcomed their daughter Briar Rose in 2014. Most people know of Sleeping Beauty’s name as Aurora but here’s a little Disney trivia if you didn’t know this fun fact already. Briar Rose was Sleeping Beauty’s secondary moniker given by the three fairies that raised and looked after her in the forest.
The former couple are both huge Disney fans and Christensen had revealed in a past interview, “We both love all things Disney — but Rachel especially was very keen on the name. We have Disney songs playing around the house 24/7 right now."
Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling
Eva Mendes, 44, and Ryan Gosling, 37, named their eldest daughter Esmeralda Amada. The 3 ½-year-old was named after the couples love of the gypsy in the 1996’s flick The Hunchback of Notre Dame. “Ryan and I both love the Esmeralda character from the Victor Hugo novel, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and we just think it’s a beautiful name," Mendes told Vanity Fair in 2014.
