Jinger Duggar Vuolo recently had her first little girl and now the reality star is talking all about the details. She also chose to have a hospital birth, which isn’t the way they usually do it in the Duggar family. People shared the details about what Jinger had to say about giving birth to her daughter Felicity.
On Monday’s episode of Counting On, the fans finally got to see Jinger have her baby girl. Jinger and Jeremy went and met with a midwife to talk about everything and make their birth plan. This is a pretty serious thing and they had to talk about all of the details.
Jinger explained why they were discussing all of this at this point in their pregnancy.
“We had an appointment last week and my doctor and midwife both thought that it would be best to get things rolling at this point just because my sisters have had such huge babies that they thought it’d be better if I kind of went closer to my due date. They want to induce me, so we’re taking all of our bags with us today and the baby car seat, and so it’s pretty crazy thinking that I’m just days away from being a mom and actually having the baby in my hands.”
Jinger Duggar Vuolo was really taking care of herself during this pregnancy. She was walking and doing squats. This had to help make the delivery a bit easier on her. Jinger also took herbs during her pregnancy.
As the fans have seen, some of the other Duggar girls have had some pretty big babies and had issues with delivery. They were trying to prevent Jinger Duggar from having these issues. They were actually doing all of these things so that Jinger could hopefully have her baby near her due date and not end up having her late, which would make her have a bigger baby.
Jinger even went as far as to go to the hospital and use Pitocin, which is a drug that induces labor by causing or strengthening contractions. This way she would have her daughter on time. Every bit of this worked because it only took her 30 minutes of pushing to have her daughter, but she was in labor for 18 hours. Jinger even made the choice to get an epidural and slept during part of the labor, then woke up already dilated to a 10.
