Owen Wilson welcomed his third child, a baby girl, with Varunie Vongsvirates. A source close to The Wedding Crashers star revealed his daughter arrived on Tuesday, October 9th weighing in at 6 lbs., 13oz., measuring 21 inches. The parents named their daughter Lyla Aranya Wilson, Vongsvirates choosing a Thai moniker for her little girl’s middle name in honor of her father’s Thai heritage.
Wilson is already a dad to his two boys 7-year-old Robert Ford whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Jade Duell and his 4-year-old son Finn Wilson whom he shares with Caroline Lindqvist.
The paternity of Wilson’s third child was questioned resulting in the Marley and Me star, 49, volunteering to go ahead with a paternity test in June. Vongsvirates maintained her certainty that Wilson was the father of her unborn child.
A source close to the actor said of the paternity incident, “Owen has been a great father to his two boys and has maintained a warm and close relationship with their mothers. Of course, if a paternity test establishes that he is the father of another child, he will fulfill all of his obligations to support his child.”
Vongsvirates first announced that she was pregnant in June via Instagram. She shared a picture of an ultrasound captioning the post, “Say hello to Lyla. 3 month to go!" In August Vonsgsvirates shared a photo of her and Wilson at his movie premiere of Father Figures. She later confirmed that the actor was the father of her child.
Wilson appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in June 2017 and opened up to the daytime host about his two sons. Even though Wilson is considered one of Hollywood’s funniest men his two sons are his toughest critics. “I can make a joke, and it’s, like, crickets," he said. “It’s like nothing from those guys."
