She’s here! A little bit early but she’s arrived!
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore and husband Marc Daly welcomed their first child together on Sunday. The couple’s baby girl Brooklyn Doris Daly arrived at 9:31 a.m. ET on Sunday, November 4 weighing in at 5lbs., 12oz.
Brooklyn’s arrival came a little bit earlier than planned. Kenya, 47, underwent an emergency C-section. Just a few days before her little angel’s arrival the former Miss USA had tested positive for preeclampsia. The RHOA star gained 17 lbs in just one week due to high blood pressure, water retention, severe swelling, and added protein in the urine.

I made fun of my swollen feet at @cynthiabailey10 party. Next day my tests came back for possible preeclampsia… I gained 17 lbs in ONE week due to severe swelling and water retention, high blood pressure, and excess protein in urine. This is NOT normal! I took more tests. Baby is fine but if they come back higher #babydaly will have to come same day. Staying positive. To my pregnant sisters please go to your visits and tell the doctor of any drastic changes. Thank God I have great doctors.🙏🏾 #babydaly #highrisk #love #family #miraclebaby #kenyamoore #babybump #pregnantover40
Moore kept her fans informed during her scary delivery ordeal writing, “This is NOT normal,” referring to her swollen feet. “Baby is fine but if [test] come back higher #babydaly will have to come same day. Staying positive. To my pregnant sisters please go to your visits and tell the doctor of any drastic changes. Thank God I have great doctors.”
On Saturday, Moore updated her social media following that her precious girl would be here shortly. The reality star posted a picture from her hospital bed writing alongside the picture, “If you want to make God laugh have a plan… Won’t be long now. Pray for us #babydaly #weloveyou #prayers.”
This is the first child for both Kenya and Marc. Kenya revealed their daughter’s name holds special meaning for the two. “Brooklyn because that’s where we met and fell in love, and Doris after my grandmother who passed away last year and who raised me.”
Moore first shared her and hubby Marc’s joyous baby news on the season 10 reunion show of RHOA. Moore admitted feeling nervous about announcing she was expecting fearing that it was too early to share her happy news.
She told PEOPLE at the time, “I’ve waited 47 years for this moment. I didn’t really want to announce it too soon because I feel it’s very early on in our pregnancy. But I have suffered so much in my life when it comes to wanting a family around me. So this is the day I’ve been waiting for my entire life. It’s a dream come true.”
