Jersey Shore‘s Deena Cortese became a new mother just days ago. The reality star and her husband Chris Buckner welcomed a son named “CJ” on January 5. The new mama gushed on Instagram writing, “I never thought i could love Chris anymore than i did until i saw him hold CJ."
The new mama received backlash from followers when Cortese took a pic of her son documenting a monumental moment when she put CJ in the car to take him home from the hospital.
But don’t expect the Jersey Shore star to sit back and take a back seat to criticism. Cortese fired back at the comments setting the record straight.
“It’s not a jacket… it’s a onesie and hospital approved it. We’re not perfect but we got this. Thank you for the concerns," Cortese wrote referring to “CJ’s" outfit.
Experts warn parents that winter coats worn while in a car seat can leave the straps loose which can endanger your child’s safety.
Even after Cortese came to her own defense and clarified her son’s outfit follower’s still had some harsh words to share with the reality star.
“The baby doesn’t fit in his car seat with that fleece snowsuit and the harness is waaaay too loose. Sorry I don’t want people’s babies to die," wrote one person. Added another: “That’s not a f—king onesie. Lmao." A third explained, “Some of us here are trying to help her and offer LIFE SAVING ADVICE."
Even though Cortese has experienced her first dose of mommy criticism right out of the gate the new mother did receive some good wishes from her Jersey Shore family. Nicole “Snooki" Polizzi wrote on the MTV personality’s post, “HE IS SO PERFECT! Welcome to the mommy club mawma!"
Cortese and Buckner tied the knot in October 2017. Cortese told Us in April that married life suits her saying, “I love being married. I got very lucky. I don’t know how I found him."
