Rebecca Romijn Says She’s Holding out Getting This One Thing That her Twin Daughters are Begging to Do
Rebecca Romijn has just entered the pre-teen years with her twin girls Charlie and Dolly. The actress admits that she is entering new territory but isn’t afraid of putting her foot down even when it’s not easy.
Romijn attended the premiere of Star Trek: Discovery season two and revealed that her 10-year-old daughters are bidding for cell phones. “That’s not happening for as long as I can possibly go,” she said.
The 46-year-old former model explained why she is so dead set against cell phones for her girls. “I’ve been told that grades suffer when kids get phones. So they’ll be 20 before I get them a phone! My kids are nagging me about it because of a lot of their friends already have them. …Those parents are ruining it for the rest of us.”
The Ugly Betty alum also admitted that between her and her husband Jerry O’Connell she is more of the disciplinarian. “I’m probably more of a disciplinarian than my husband.”
But the X-Men star reveals that hanging with her two gals is her favorite thing to do and as they are getting older she’s enjoying them more and more. “They’re sassy. They just turned 10, double digits. It’s exciting. … The more developed they become, the more I enjoy them. They’re great human beings. I really enjoy my time with them.”
Romijn spoke to Us in July 2018 and revealed that her girls recently moved into their own bedrooms. Like, all of a sudden, they’re more important than they used to be,” she said. “They feel like they’re all high and mighty. They’re acting like teenagers already.”
Romijn and O’Connell, 44, tied the knot in July 2007. The couple welcomed their daughters in December 2008.
